BlackHawk Datacom offers a diverse portfolio of highly reliable fixed and auto-acquire satellite services specifically designed to meet the needs of clients working in remote and harsh environments.

We provide global VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) services from BlackHawk Datacom owned and operated teleport facilities located in Lafayette, LA with backup facilities in Devine, TX. From these secure teleports utilizing iDirect’s global NMS architecture, BlackHawk Datacom is able to provide geographic hub redundancy to our customers. In the case of a catastrophic teleport failure, remotes can be switched to the redundant teleport network. In addition, we maintain teleport access in Mount Jackson, VA, Aflenz, Austria, and Kapolei, Hawaii.

Reliablility:

The teleport facilities are located in secured, hardened structures using redundant power systems, high capacity connectivity and fault tolerant equipment. In addition, BlackHawk Datacom operates redundant VoIP servers in Houston and Lafayette. This allows the remote gateways to register to one or the other depending on availability of the servers. Typically, one operates as primary with the other as secondary backup. We can redirect incoming traffic from the primary to the secondary if it were to fail. This guarantees that no matter what natural disaster may occur, BlackHawk Datacom customers will not be negatively affected.
